The LOTOS brand has been awarded a prestigious Business Superbrand 2013 award in the 7th Polish edition of the Superbrands programme, which awards the strongest brands on the Polish market. Grupa LOTOS received the award in the Corporate Brands category.

The LOTOS brand has been awarded a prestigious Business Superbrand 2013 award in the 7th Polish edition of the Superbrands programme, which awards the strongest brands on the Polish market. Grupa LOTOS received the award in the Corporate Brands category.

Anna Goliszewska, Head of the Brand Management Office at Grupa LOTOS explained that "Our ambition is to create a brand that is friendly, dynamic and competent, based on the trust of our customers. Winning a Business Superbrand title for the sixth time proves the effectiveness of the implementation of the LOTOS brand strategy." The LOTOS brand joined the select group of the most powerful corporate brands. A Superbrand is characterised by a strong market presence and high brand awareness on the Polish market. It offers not only quality products and services, but also emotional benefits, which give it the advantage over competing brands.

Corporate and business brands underwent a Business Superbrands certification process. The initial list included 308 brands present here, the strength of each of which was assessed by the Superbrands Council. In the current edition of the programme the score required to achieve a Superbrand Certificate was increased, making the distinction even more elite. The Business Superbrand title was awarded to just 85 business brands this year.

The Superbrand title is an annual distinction that has been awarded for 17 years in 87 countries, by the independent, international Superbrands organisation. The aim of the project is to promote and reward the success of those brands which by offering consumers overwhelming benefits have achieved a market success. The organisation began life in 1994 as a radio show on London’s GLR Radio (now BBC Radio London), dedicated to brands and their role in the lives of consumers. The incredible success of the show led to the creation of Superbrands (UK) Ltd. a year later.

The paths to success of each award-winning brand, including LOTOS’s, are presented in a publication that accompanies each edition of the Superbrands programme, and enjoys a global reputation as ‘the bible of branding’.

Business Superbrands 2013 Gala

On April 5th at a gala event in Warsaw, the Business Superbrands 2013 statuette was officially received by Anna Goliszewska, Head of the Brand Management Office.
