Further to Current Report No. 21/2020, Grupa LOTOS S.A. (“Grupa LOTOS”) announces that PKN Orlen S.A. (“PKN Orlen”) received the European Commission’s consent to extend the deadline for implementing the remedies PKN Orlen is obliged to fulfill in order to prevent adverse effects of the proposed concentration involving the acquisition of control over Grupa LOTOS by PKN Orlen on competition in the relevant markets (as further described in Current Report No. 21/2020).
The new deadline for implementing the remedies is January 14th 2022, with the extension justified by the need to finalise the negotiation process with partners participating in the talks on implementing the remedies and to allow the partners to complete the decision pathway.
