The Management Board of Grupa LOTOS S.A. hereby reports that yesterday, i.e. on December 18th 2008, in the APA (Awards in Predefined Areas) 2008, LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge AS (fully owned by Petrobaltic S.A., in which Grupa LOTOS S.A. holds 69% of the shared capital) has been awarded Interests in below listed Production Licences in the southern part of the North Sea and in the Norwegian Sea: 

1. PL 497: LOTOS E&P Norge AS -10% interest (other partners: Det Norske Oljeselskap ASA (Operator) - 35%, Bridge Energy AS - 30%, Dana Petroleum Norway - 25%).
2. PL 498: LOTOS E&P Norge AS (Operator) - 25% interest (other partners: Skagen 44 AS - 25%, 4Sea Energy AS - 25%, Edison International Spa Norway branch - 25%
3. PL 503: LOTOS E&P Norge AS (Operator) - 25% interest (other partners: Skagen 44 AS - 25%,4 Sea Energy AS - 25%, Edison International Spa Norway branch - 25%
4. PL 515: LOTOS E&P Norge AS - 20% (other partners: Rocksource ASA (Operator) - 60%, Skagen 44 AS - 20%).

The LOTOS E&P Norge AS estimated costs of the exploration on the awarded licences are NOK 21,6m for 2009 (i.e. PLN 9,232 thousand, translated at the NOK/PLN mid exchange rate published by the National Bank of Poland for December 18th 2008).
