Appointment of Management Board Member – additional information

As a supplement to Current Report No. 10/2018 of June 6th 2018, Grupa LOTOS S.A. (the “Company”) publishes information on the professional career of Mr Robert Sobków, a newly appointed Member of the Management Board, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Grupa LOTOS S.A.


Since 2017, Mr Robert Sobków has served as head of the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants in Poznań, where he has restructured the Institute, realised financial synergies with the subsidiaries, implemented a number of investment projects, and led to successful commercialisation of intangible assets generating revenues of more than USD 1m per year. In 2013-2017, Mr Sobków worked at the European University of Business in Poznań and as an associate professor at the Poznań University of Commerce and Services. As President of LMB Consulting, for 11 years he provided advisory services in the area of management, corporate finance and valuation of companies’ intangible assets. Robert Sobków gained solid professional experience in creating financial policies as Vice President and CFO, and Chief Capital Transformation Officer, and earlier as Head of Finance, at Sunset Suits Men’s Fashion. While serving as Vice President and CFO at Tonsil S.A., Mr Sobków managed the financial policy, and in particular prepared and implemented a financial restructuring of a joint-stock company. At Wielkopolskie Tartaki Witar, a sawmills company employing nearly 2,000 people, Mr Sobków successfully performed his role of Head of Financial Analysis and Control, achieving optimisation of processes and changes to the cash flows, and eventually synergies equal to the value of the company’s previous credit obligations. Robert Sobków commenced his professional career in 1991 as Head of the Economic Analyses Department at Eureka Consulting, where he prepared or supervised the preparation of over one hundred strategic, financial and operational analyses and studies, including investment project valuations and corporate restructuring plans. Mr Sobków graduated from the Management Department of Poznań University of Economics with a masters degree in Economics, and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the same university. Robert Sobków has a good command of English and Russian.
