The Hydrogen Recovery Unit (Polish acronym: WOW), a new installation at Grupa LOTOS, is expected to add to the Gdańsk refinery's total output a further 100 thousand tonnes of LPG, 9 thousand tonnes of hydrogen and 25 thousand tonnes of naphtha per year.
Today, the offshore platform newly purchased by LOTOS Petrobaltic, the sole company conducting hydrocarbon exploration and production work in the Polish zone of the Baltic Sea, has arrived in Poland. The Industrial Development Agency and Nordea Bank Polska S.A. were both involved in the project for the new platform.
Katowice Pyrzowice International Airport has welcomed LOTOS - Air BP Polska as a supplier of aviation fuels ‘at the wing-tip’. Diversification of fuel suppliers is another step on the path to demonopolising the Polish aviation fuels market. A similar process took place amongst the air carriers a decade earlier, which brought a variety of benefits to passengers.
At the end of 2013, 439 service stations were operating in the LOTOS network, including 151 stations in the LOTOS Optima economy segment and 14 service stations in Motorway Service Areas. LOTOS remains Poland’s fastest growing network of service stations.
Today the Supervisory Board of Grupa LOTOS S.A. approved the directions of the '2013-15 Effective and Rising programme, which will facilitate implementation of the Company's strategy and deliver steady value growth for shareholders.
Grupa LOTOS has now published its 2012 Integrated Annual Report. The publication, titled 'Culture of Values', is available from www.raportroczny.lotos.pl and presents the company's economic, social and environmental performance in line with the A+ requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative. For the first time, it also includes the information required by the newly-introduced GRI Oil and Gas Sector Supplement (OGSS). LOTOS is the only company in the industry in Poland to have expanded the scope of the results it presents to include these sectoral indicators.
The LOTOS brand has been awarded a prestigious Business Superbrand 2013 award in the 7th Polish edition of the Superbrands programme, which awards the strongest brands on the Polish market. Grupa LOTOS received the award in the Corporate Brands category.
Forbes has awarded a Diamond to another company in the LOTOS Group, LOTOS Czechowice. The Czechowice-based company took first place in a ranking of companies in Silesia that have earned from PLN 5 to 50 million in revenue.
As many as three Forbes Diamonds went to companies of the LOTOS Group in this year's edition of the award. The Pomerania-based winners of the ranking met in Gdańsk, on February 27th 2013.
Grupa LOTOS has once again fulfilled the strict criteria to be included in the RESPECT Index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and has found itself among the 20 companies to be included in the new composition of the RESPECT Index. It is already the sixth edition of the index, in which LOTOS has been present from the very beginning.

On November 23rd 2012 Grupa LOTOS S.A. signed an agreement with Zakłady Azotowe w Tarnowie-Mościcach (”Azoty Tarnów”) to complete a preliminary feasibility study for two proposed investment projects – a steam cracker and polyethylene production unit, and an aromatics complex. If the feasibility study renders positive results, this will enable the partners to start design work on the selected alternative, thus offering Grupa LOTOS and Azoty Tarnów an opportunity to benefit from the recently-announced programme ”Polish Investments” (Inwestycje Polskie).
